Xi Jinping: The Governance of China at the China International Import Expo

Held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from November 5 to 10, the Fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE) attracted participants from 145 countries and regions and international organizations. Entrusted by the China International Communications Group (CICG), the China International Book Trading Corporation (CIBTC) CICG took the opportunity presented by this year’s CIEE to show off books from the Xi Jinping: The Governance of China series at the event.

CIIE is the world’s first national-level import-themed expo. CICG’s exhibition of its important books at this expo represents its efforts to make its international communications more effective.

With thematic exhibit areas set up in six areas – the “Ten Years of the New Era” exhibition, the summit forum hall, the “Celebrating the 20th National Congress of the CPC” exhibition, the guest lounge, the CIIE Culture Exhibition Hall, and the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee Organization Department liaison station – CICG displayed more than 5000 copies of books, including multilingual versions of volumes 1-4 of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, the “China in Focus” series, and the “Modern China Ingenuity” series, attracting the attention of both domestic and international visitors.

On November 5 – the first day of CIIE –CICG Vice President and Editor-in-chief Gao Anming visited CICG’s booth in the “Ten Years of the New Era” Exhibition Hall to inspect the booth’s layout, check out the books on display, and to learn about feedback from readers.

After this year’s CIIE, the CIIE Culture Exhibition Hall will become a permanent fixture at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) to be regularly maintained by CIBTC’s Shanghai subsidiary.
