On the morning of January 30, the Conference for Promoting International Translation and Publication Cooperation of Important Works was held in Beijing. Hosted by China International Communications Group (CICG) and organized by Foreign Languages Press (FLP), the event was attended by representatives of well-known publishers and research institutions from 20 countries, who were in Beijing to sign the memorandums of understanding on jointly translating and publishing the fourth volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China in multiple languages.

MINSK, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) – The Belarusian edition of the first volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China has been launched in Minsk. Some 500 political leaders, government officials, representatives from think tanks and media, among others, attended the launch ceremony and a following seminar.

On November 27, the promotional event for the Thai Edition of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China (Volume II), hosted by China International Communications Group and the Embassy of China in Thailand and organized by Foreign Language Press and the Belt and Road Cooperation Research Center, was held at National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) in Bangkok, Thailand.

A shared reading session for the Sinhalese version of the first volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China was held on the morning of Nov. 25 in Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka. The event was under the auspices of China International Communications Group (CICG) and the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka, and was hosted by Foreign Languages Press (FLP) and Sarasavi Publishers (Pvt) Ltd.

A promotional event for the English version of the fourth volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China was held at Kathmandu on the morning of November 23 during the South Asia International Book Fair 2023 (Nepal). The event was under the auspices of China International Communications Group (CICG) and the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, hosted by Foreign Languages Press (FLP) and China International Book Trading Corporation, and assisted by Nepal’s China Study Center and Current Media and Research Center.

TASHKENT, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Uzbek edition of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s book on poverty relief, Up and Out of Poverty, was launched in Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent, on Friday, and a following seminar was held. The event was jointly organized by China’s State Council Information Office, China International Communications Group, the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan, the Uzbekistan Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, and the Development Strategy Center, an NGO in Uzbekistan, and held by Foreign Languages Press, Fujian People’s Publishing House, and Uzbekistan’s Publishing and Printing Press. More than 150 dignitaries, media representatives, think tank members, and other representatives from China and Uzbekistan attended the launch ceremony and the following seminar.

On Oct 20, 2023 (local time) – under the auspices of China International Communications Group and the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Frankfurt – a book-presentation for the German edition of The Belt and Road Initiative by Xi Jinping was held in Frankfurt. The event was hosted by Foreign Languages Press, organized by CBT China Book Trading GmbH and co-organized by CGTN Europe. Guests from China and other countries, including Lu Cairong (vice president of China International Communications Group), Huang Yiyang (consul-general of the People’s Republic of China in Frankfurt), Dr. Michael Borchmann (former head of the International Affairs Division of the Hessen State Government in Germany), Zhou Xifan (president of the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Frankfurt and general manager of the Frankfurt branch of Agricultural Bank of China), Professor Cord Eberspächer (German sinologist and historian), and Herrn Burkhard Risse (German translator and editor at Foreign Languages Press) were in attendance.

On October 16, the launch ceremony for the multiple language editions of The Belt and Road Initiative by Xi Jinping was held in Beijing on the eve of the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee Wang Gang attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. In addition, former Prime Minister of Egypt Essam Sharaf delivered a video speech. The ceremony was attended by President of China International Communications Group (CICG) Du Zhanyuan, Panamanian Ambassador to China Leonardo Kam, Syrian Ambassador to China Mhd. Hasanein Khaddam, Peruvian Ambassador to China Marco V. Balarezo, Kuwaiti Ambassador to China Jasem Ibrahem Al-Najem, Director of the Islamabad-based Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies Muhammad Asif Noor, Executive Dean of the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies and Deputy Dean of Silk Road School, Renmin University of China Wang Wen, and Honorary Chief English Editor and Senior Expert in International Communication at Foreign Languages Press David Ferguson. CICG Vice President Gao Anming hosted the ceremony.

On June 15, 2023, opening day of the 29th Beijing International Book Fair, Lu Cairong, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG) announced the inauguration of the International Publishing Cooperation Center (the center) under the International Publishing Cooperation Mechanism for China-Themed Books (the mechanism). Besides Mr. Lu, CICG Vice President Liu Dawei and representatives from publishing circles also took part in the inaugural ceremony.

The French, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Japanese and traditional Chinese versions of the fourth volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China have been published by Foreign Languages Press for global distribution.
